I have informed them that there could be a number of people turning up a bit earlier for drinks before dinner that they are perfectly fine with that. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I am now unable to attend and have spoken to @Mattg who will take over as the organiser.

Touchdown Adelaide. Delayed out of CBR to MEL by 45 mins due fog , which was kind of expected and known risk when I booked. Had a short 40 min connection for ADL. Wasn't helped by arrival in MEL at Gate 9 and departing Gate 14. VA held the ADL flight as there were 4 pax connecting. Interesting in CBR, VA flights seemed to all depart within an hour delay after some de-icing (-3C) while QF had big delays with all there early morning flights and even cancelled a flight to MEL. Coffee time , while waiting to checkin at the Atura at 12noon.

It's really cold out in Adelaide so think you will be better served by not going. There's always a next time. We missed as we are at Port Broughton. Not exactly warm up here.
