I doubt they’ll share during the tour the real history of why Haighs choccies so damn good.

I’d often thought it resembled European chocolate not English and it proved to be so. A reading of the history book discusses just how that came about

PS I may get back to Adelaide afternoon 4th Oct now rather than Sun 7th so I’ll keep ya all posted on how that pans out. Initially I was going to return to Syd to go to Canberra for the

30th anniversary – Parliament of Australia

Unless its because they use the tears of unicorns, its because the original Haigh grandson did a stint at Lindt. They share that info during the tour.

Thanks for all the suggestions VPS! Mrs Flashback is vego and has an allergy to mushrooms (which makes it pretty hard, do you know how many times the vego option has mushrooms!), so a lot of the menus above don't suit her unfortunately

A few options I've found that look interesting (and give out a bit of Aussie culture, if there is such a thing ):

Press is one of the best restaurants around, however may be above some member's price expectations, especially with drinks

I'm a big fan of Press as well. Wasn't sure what you were looking for. Neither of those pubs are great (or weren't the last time I was there) but the Thai looks interesting.
