I think they need an express area for if you just want to grab a "simple" drink. The coughtails are amazing but take a long time to produce...

No different to waiting for people drinking coffee to be served in Qantas lounges.

Self service coffee would be a good idea.

It is different. The bar makes money by selling drinks. Qantas has made it's money by selling the airfare that lets you enter the lounge.

They have self service coffee in the lounge already. The fact that people prefer the barista says that self service is not what's required.

I have waited in the Collins bar for more than 10 min for a drink, it was not that busy either, however the coughtails take a long time to make and was popular during that visit... I was just after a beer :-|

Spectacular looking, but consumes a significant amount of bar staff time to make...!

I can order 2 at a time if I really need it that bad.

The reason 2-3 minutes is too long is that I do not like leaving my belongings unattended for that length of time.

It is not an issue in the Qantas Lounge as there is more than 1 person serving. Only an issue in the business lounges where there is only 1 person serving and 2 people waiting for some caffeine fix.

A dinner event was discussed at the ADL drinks night, something should show up here soon...

Goood attendance on the night with 5 AFF members in attendance, nice to meet some more new "faces" to names. Would be good if we could get an official dinner event off the ground in the future.

If dinner is in June, I will try to put my DSC offer to good use.

When we workshopped this last Friday night, it was thought that a longer period of notice might be better for more people so early - mid September was mentioned. Also Shintaro and Newk are both away at different times in June. But if you're coming over in June I am sure we can gather some people together
