I received an email the other day encouraging stays at new Accor properties in Australia. One listed was a Pullman in Adelaide.

Anyone stayed here or have any intel? I'm assuming it is a rebranding of an existing hotel as there'd probably have been prior notice of a new build.

Key for me is does it have an Exec lounge? The website implies there is one ("children get into lounge free") but nothing on the site actually says they have one.

It is the former Crowne Plaza. Good location. Ridiculous price for parking. I stayed there 2 weeks ago. Don't recall noticing a lounge or even seeing a sign in the elevator for it.

I checked yesterday for a lounge, nothing. Serious LOL factor. They should have branded it as a Novotel instead. The Accor global reach seems to be growing but this doesn't rate as a Pullman property.

I stayed 3 weeks ago. Don’t recall seeing anything about an exec lounge. Ditto what Dr Ralph said re great location. Food was average, pool/gym below average. Room service was slow and forgot basics like spoons to go with yoghurt etc. General service was great - room upgrade on arrival without having to ask, free drinks for our 3yr old when we were at the bar, free chocolates from the manager etc. In summary it was very average for a Pullman but I was happy with it given I paid $530 for 4 Nights

Staying there next week and received a welcome call today. Was promised an upgrade as a Platinum. Received a profuse apology that there is no exec lounge but confirmed one is being built. Free breakfast to be available as compensation.

Will be a very brief stay but positive start.

Received a good upgrade, full breakfast (though I skipped it) and welcome amenity. But when I quizzed staff on progress toward an executive lounge got very evasive answers. One staff member laughed and finally said it was still in consultation and consideration stage - nothing actually happening. Recalling Yes Minister I noted it wasn’t even under ‘active’ consideration.

Good, brief stay, but won’t be holding my breath for an EL, and as a result doubt I will be staying here in the near future.

Seriously, the worst part about this hotel is the toilet paper. It's like sandpaper.

Arrived 21:30. Lounge empty and setup for breakfast but coffee machine and fridges still available (including one of the fridges with alcohol which I assume was a mistake. No sweets this night or the next.

Two drink vouchers for basic wines and spirits. Bar still open at about 11pm.

Was advised that I could have breakfast in the main restaurant or the lounge. Chose the main restaurant. No pics but was a reasonable spread and not too crowded. First barista coffee free - anything else would incur a charge. Eggs to order. But otherwise an unremarkable breakfast.

Upgraded from a basic room to a corner junior suite, 13th floor. Very nice upgrade.
