Unfortunately I will have to scratch for this, however I may see anyone flying ex-MEL that evening before I fly to CBR.

Hi guys, unfortunately I had to cancel my trip to Adelaide so I won't be able join you on Friday night..sorry :(
 
Just to again confirm I should be there. Sorry I haven't been watching this thread. Re-found my enthusiasm for life, so have been working on uni stuff till 5am every morning, spending days at the beach, binging... on training, plus the usual pub-crawls, clubbing and just dancing the nights away. And that's not even the best of it.

You'll spot me by my high-vis shoes.
 
Hi All

As another newbie, I would like to join you all for drinks on Friday night (not dinner though sorry) I figured after reading the thread I needed to help boost the female presence :-) Unfortunately I will also negate that by bringing Mr Romney along too. He is also slowly becoming addicted to AFF so you can help teach us both.
 
Mrs N, who by the way is a confirmed newly minted WP, is likely to start off with the drinks and will assess the weirdness factor before deciding if dinner is on the cards. :). Unlike Romney and Mr Romney and me she's not into meeting "random weird people from the Internet". No offence ;)

You know that and I know that but let me assure you that Mrs N and I have met our fair share of "different" people via the net.
And when that happens you have to start thinking "how do THEY see ME?" and "maybe I am weird". That doesn't worry me much but it can be confronting.
Just trying to explain. :)

I know what you mean... It takes a little while to warm up to the idea of meeting people from the internet, but frequent flyers are [mostly] good people :)

Newk, I've known you for, what, 30+ years. Ain't no maybe about it.

And Mrs asg29e is thinking along the same lines as Mrs Newk; reckons she sees enough weirdness at home, why go actively seeking it out. (I took that as a compliment of course)
