I'd say bronze for us. We'll be likely to just slum it in the lounge and hit the sack early.

Assuming that you are staying at HADL, we will be only ~2 minutes walk away if you change your mind.
Failing that, look forward to meeting you +2 on Sunday.

Boy, I'm not doing too well at the moment.....every time there's an ADL event, I'm not around....hopefully next time (she says with fingers crossed....). Have a fab night everyone!

That's the problem with frequent flyer groups :p

Oops, I only replied to Buzz on the wine tour thread.

Yes, it is BYO. $10 corkage per bottle.

OT, but is corkage usually so much? I must admit that I usually just pay the bill without too much scrutiny, but I thought corkage was generally about $2 a bottle! $10 seems a bit over the top IMHO.

The place I originally chose for dinner wanted $12.50 corkage.
Guess why we're not going there.

Wow.....! A friend of mine just told me they're going on a cruise (south Pacific cheapy) and corkage on that is apparently US$25/bottle. I must be getting old to think that's close to lunacy!

$10 AUD per bottle is fairly common in Australia now.

It has crept up over the years.

FWIW, $10AUD per bottle BYO isn't so bad when you are paying $45 for a "$10 bottle" off their list (e.g. $35 markup).

Exactly, I'd rather pay $10 for a good bottle I've bought elsewhere than the restaurant markup.

I'd rather keep the ten bucks and have pizza and wine on my back deck!

Agree with both of you depending on the context.

No corkage at Chateaux penegal.
