Adelaide is going to have its first daily international service it appears, as SQ increases the frequency of flights from SIN to ADL from 5 weekly to daily....

Either they are getting good loads out of ADL, or there are sound strategic reasons for doing this (...... we're doing daily flights to ADL, whereas the "national" carrier can't even do a single non-stop service to Asia ..... therefore its in the nations interest to have SQ here .... give us access to the pacific ...)

I find QF rather odd.

QF does not seem to be doing well with QF81 MEL-ADL-DRW-SIN. It was a Mon, Wed & Fri service that has now being rescheduled as a Tue, Thu & Sat service.

Good luck to SQ and I hope it triggers QF to offer some competition.

I dont find it odd. If you have a choice between nonstop flight on SQ with great IFE and service over a flight that stops in DRW - most people (some AFFers and FTers excepted) would choose the nonstop.

I agree with you and I thought that is what I posted.

Just to clarify I have changed my post to read "I find QF rather odd".

Absolutely. :D

Aside from one flight per year with the family, all of my flying is for business and non-stop is top priority. If I was living in ADL I'd be taking SQ, not a broken journey on QF. Thankfully I live in SYD. :P
