I need to be in Seattle on the 19[SUP]th[/SUP] and 20[SUP]th[/SUP] of October. I was going to arrive a day or two before and leave a day or two later so dates are a little flexible.
Looking to book Qantas upgradable Y ticket in the hope of a business class upgrade. I have QP SG. In the past I have had reasonable success with SYD-SFO upgrades.
What I would like to know is which route is going to get me the best upgrade chance?

I just had a look at current Expert Flyer loadings on outbound flights departing 17 October and return flights around 21-22 October.

For the outbound, the loads currently seem reasonably light on MEL-LAX and BNE-LAX on 17/10. For the return flights, travelling on 22 October (a Sunday) should increase your chances of getting an upgrade on any flight over travelling on the 21st. All routings should give you a pretty good chance, including SFO-SYD.
