I'm Flying CBR -> SYD , SYD -> LAX, etc I have the email after signing up for AA Admirals Club. Just wondering if I'll be able to use the QF lounge at CBR given I wont be checked in yet for my AA flight from Sydney yet?

You have access. In fact you don't even need an AA flight - a standalone QF flight would be sufficient.
