Admirals Club lounges to get upgraded with new design

American Airlines is embarking on a project to refurbish its network of Admirals Club lounges with a new "reimagined" design, starting with DCA.

Given the current state of some of those lounges, surely this can only be a good thing!

Does AA use the term ‘redesign’ in the same way QF uses ‘enhance’?

Responding to customer requests, here’s our redesigned lounge seating
(or a park bench for couples, made from renewable American walnut, of course)…

Definitely good news, some of the Admirals Lounges at DFW in June 2022 were pretty bad.

Major overcrowding issues and lucky to find a clean glass to get a drink from the water fountain.

Some lounges in the USA seem to be a similar standard as EU business tickets… Sometimes best to avoid all together.

I visited the Admirals Club in LGA this year, in the brand new terminal - looked very similar to the new design. It was a very nice lounge with really good views.

Nice to hear! LGA was forever one of those airports to arrive at but avoid departing from - despite its proximity…

I can’t find a link but there was a recent SMH / The Age article singing the praises of the refurb.

It really is great. I was a fan before the rerub just because of the easy Uber ride from Manhattan, but now, I don’t know why you’d go JFK unless flying long haul.
