Advice on champagne

I sort of agree. 2009 DP is still an excellent wine and if someone else is paying, I'll drink it. Had it a few weeks ago a the Lamonts Champagne Extravaganza in Perth. But I agree at that price point there are better options. 2008 being an excellent vintage should be stellar. I've already gone long on some 2008 champagne and plan to add a few bottles of the 2008 DP to the cellar when the price is right.

Cellarmasters have Pol Roger 2009 for $105. If you buy two with the OZBARGAIN code and CR + Gift Card it comes out to ~$71 per bottle. Assuming CRs pays out.

2009 not considered the greatest vintage.

And ironically not long about you could pick up the 2008 for that price. Absolute bargain.

Has anyone tried Bollinger LGA 2007? If so, thoughts or comparisons to 2005? The CM offer is tempting..

Luxury Champagne (6-pack) $299 for 2 by Moet, Lanson and Piper Heidsieck

use code 30XMAS for 30% discount and via chashrewards for 15% cashback on top. works out around $30 a bottle which seems quite decent. I bought the same pack last year and was quite happy with them. perfect summer quaffing champers o_O

Use a discounted WISH card too, for another 5% off, which brings the per bottle price down to $27.23.

Call me a cynic, but why is that described as "luxury" champagne?
