Advice on champagne

Marc Chauvet Champagne Brut NV opinions? Being pushed by D'or to Door.
I'm a regular buyer at that price point. I think that it's excellent value for money. Far superior than the likes of Mumm, Moet etc.
+1

Perrier Jouet Vintage on sale at First Choice, usually $239 but on catalogue this week after discounts should be $151. Not cheap but a significant discount for something on my curiosity list, anyone able to share experiences?

One of my defining champagne experiences was the 96 Bell Epoque. Incredible.

Can save another $10 with the Amex offer if available to you.

Looks like the 2011 vintage which wasn't one of the better ones. So at $141 I would probably grab a bottle, except there are no First Choice anywhere near me and it's just not worth the schlep. I'd make the effort if it was a stronger vintage or convenient located.

It's $190 in any 6.
Otherwise $200, with 10% off click and collect if you have a local store with stock, less $20 CR which makes it $160. That's if the Amex offer is unavailable.

Decided to get the Belle Epoque, vintage turned out to be 2012 from my local! I understand this to be a great year for pinot noir, now all I need is a special event to justify opening it.

2012 was an excellent year for champagne. Good score!
For sure! I was still happy to try out the 2011, was a good surprise to see this vintage pop up! With that said who knows what is in other stores, my main gripe when it comes to click and collect is the asterisk next to the vintage, "wine vintages can vary when delivered or collected". Kind of an important part of buying vintage.

I always ring the store and ask, esp if I'm after a certain vintage.

I have a bottle at home, I got it from BWS clearance for around $165. This was last year, so unsure what year it is. I'm hoping it's 2012. *Edit* I checked and it's 2012 🤘

Well I decided to do some calling around. First Choice Bicton had five bottles (not four) of the 2012 as well as some 2004.

Liquorland 20% CB, and $10 off $100 spend.

Mumm is in special $53
$106 X 2
$96 plus 20% CB.
$76 or so dollars, $38 a bottle. Sounds like a good price to me.

$53 is more of a regular price for other stores, $38 is ok but I'd usually go low $30's for Mumm with only a single bottle purchase required.
