There was an Andre Clouet tasted on a wineking episode posted some pages back, keen to try this after seeing there findings, I'll have to order some especially with my Riedel purchases in the mail. I've ordered the Extreme and Veritas champagne glasses, found some decent deals, decided it was time to switch to tulips for my Champagne!

I hope you now have something more definite than “access”. 😂
I like it for a mid range tipple. On the yeasty side. Great price, I would certainly buy if I could at that price.
A reliable staple, certainly.
At $30, I would be ordering a pallet. 😂
It was just BWS.
Sorry, I've been flat out at work today.

It may be worth checking your local stores, I bought the 10 bottles available.
I can't see any others available around my work(SA), however I wouldn't be surprised if there's more stock out there.

👍👍👍

Have had a trawl but found nothing near that price for the 750ml, alas.
$30 on offer for 200ml - and a gift set, showing as n/a.
Otherwise, $70 was the best I found there.
Others may be more successful in their searching.

Yeah I've done a check around as well, was more interested to see if this was like a couple of years ago with other great specials. Lanson black was $28 IIRC, vintage was $32 I think, then Pommery was in the 20's, same with Perrier Jouet and Tattinger, perhaps low 50's for Veuve Rose.

I can't say I thought much of the Lanson, I actually felt like it was a bit much even at the clearance price. Pommery was a good find, bought 4 bottles of that in the end and wish I'd bought more, though with that said I'd bought about 18 bottles by that point so was hard to justify more having already gone overboard. It was a good lead up to Christmas with the champagne I had to offer for functions :P

I wouldn't be surprised if the price dropped earlier this week, and I just caught it by chance.

I notice plenty of wines being bought before they even hit 50% at clearance, unfortunately people are happy to save $7.

The are quite a few stores in nsw that are having the $30 clearance of Lanson but all OOS

OOS. The sale you have when you are not having a sale. :)
Just means they've sold, normally if its showing on the website still, it usually means there's at least 1 unit in store.

Plenty of times I've gone to collect wine, and there's been multiple bottles of the same clearance wine in store.

It's worth checking your local BWS store once again, in South Australia I noticed three or four stores with stock of 5 + bottles.
Lanson Black Label Champy $31
These randomly came up, weren't listed last weekend.

Is this stock listed online or did you see it in store? I checked about 40 BWS stores in all directions and didn't find any price other than $70 in stock, though I did find a number listed with the clearance icon, albeit with the same $70 price tag.

Online.

Maybe it's BWS SA clearing stock? Are you checking SA, or other states?

SA, basically chose the Lanson Black then chose my way through near by stores, went from Adelaide centre through to North, East, South, West, Gawler to Hallett Cove, Glenelg to Stirling and a number of other areas.

Tea Tree Plaza had 5 yesterday
Rose Crown & Drive had 5 yesterday
Craigmore had 5 yesterday
Northgate had 2

I have screenshots of them all, that's how I remind myself.

It looks like to me, they're all of a sudden back to $70.
I'm not sure if the clearance stock sold within the last 24 hours, or BWS made an error.

Yeah seeing something similar at Ascott Park for instance, only the price is still $70. Never really know with these things if it's a website error it isn't marked down or an error it was marked down in the first place.

I see catalogue specials rather often from other retailers where the special price is the same as the regular price.

20% off new/pre-release Arras @ Cellar One (referrals):
$57.33 in 12pk, $153.33 in 6pk @ Cellar One after $50 off - ends 11am AEST today

Mike Bennie has given 95pts to Larmandier-Bernier Longitude LAT150319 (2015 base, MAR19 disgorgement - presumably he meant LON150319, since his 94pt Latitude was LAT160319) - a bottle of mine is LON140318 from Dan's last year, who still have it for $64.78 (and Lanson Extra Age, which I perhaps prefer, at $67.78)
  • Larmandier-Bernier Latitude Blanc de Blancs NV $82
  • Agrapart 7 Crus Chardonnay Pinot Noir Brut NV $92

Lanson Black Label Champagne Brut.
Any feedback? I have access to some for under $30

really? interesting...

+1
What about relative to Lanson, which can be had around $30-35? I think that is our staple bubbles at the price point and I think it is really crisp and clean, with enough flavour to keep it going. Also like the disgorgement date on the NVs.
for me, champagne is a celebratory/occasional drink rather than quaffer, so the only ones that i'd probably pay for less than that are Pol Roger and Lanson Gold, else Marc Chauvet is my remaining budget pick still available for around $40 that hasn't increased in price :)

I made use of the Vivino deal to order some Andre Clouet through Emperor Champagne, I'll be testing out the brut, rose and brut nature. The 20∆% off and 5.6% cashback should take it down to $57.64 a bottle, free postage for orders over $250 I think it was. Worth noting the code VIVINO20 is better to use if it works for you, VIVINOAU20 might have a max discount limit as I got a higher amount off using VIVINO20.

Actually now I don't know how they calculate their cashback as it looks to be different to places like First choice or Liquorland.

Order total $482.70
Discount $96.54
Tax $35.10
Total $386.16

Cashback tracked $342.28
Cashback total $19.17

Usually the cashback would be the order total before discount minus tax, this I have no idea.
