Advice on VA (EY) MEL-LHR

I have the misfortune to have to add another UK trip, March 2012, to my itinerary.

I would like to try the VA codeshare with EY and get closer to retaining WP with VA/DJ after my comp.

The timing and prices all look good. (I'll be booking J) I have read snippets about lounge access and EY hard and soft products but would love to get a bit of feedback before I book. (Today or tomorrow)

As a WP do I get access to any F lounges? (MEL/AUH/LHR) Is there any arrivals lounge access in LHR? (Not a major issue I have Priority Pass anyway.) I have read some threads that give mixed responses to lounge access and suggest a level of misunderstanding for EY staff.

There have also been some mixed comments about EY and the way VA/DJ FF's are treated so any feedback from that angle would be great.

Is there anything I need to look out for, any pitfalls or traps I'll blunder into? (My incompetence knows no bounds!!) I have been a QF/oneworld man for 12 years so I'm heading into uncharted territory.

Ooo yes, I'm assuming that I won't get access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at LHR!!!

I have answered some of my questions!!!!

LHR Terminal 4, no arrivals access...not with PP either. I'll cope!

I'm interested in lounge access in AUH though. Is it the F lounge?

Did you have a look at VS via HKG to LHR ? The clubhouse looks fantastic ( at least on the Internet it does) and also the Revival thing looks the goods. I'm pretty close to booking my next trip on that and just trying to work out if missing the Flounge in SYD would be made up for by a Clubhouse visit in LHR, decisions, decisions

I have a UK based colleague that is a VS Flying Club Gold. He loves the Clubhouse. It is supposed to be very very good.

I'm debating trying out VS in August. I have sorted a positioning flight (QF JASA/FASA) out to put me in the UK in August and am now looking at booking a series of LHR-MEL-LHR returns because the pricing is so much better. The problem at the moment is that I can only see VS codeshares with SQ through to Melbourne. VS200 LHR-SYD via HKG seems to be the way to go. (At GBP4k it looks a bargain.) I'd like to better understand the SC earn with Velocity though.
