I'm evaluating several options so my place doesn't get overwhelmed with people (you know how small the apartment is )

There are a lot of venues in/around the CBD that offer free room hire based on x many people all coughing up for beverages, so i'm not ruling that out (would be a private closed-off room though).

I'll be up for a practice run on the 3rd, as long as it's perhaps a social occasion with some poker as I'm sure I'll still be cough at poker by that stage. Perhaps it might be an opportunity for those in the same boat to pick up some tips from the pros among the group?

I'll also be joining the Xmas F lounge run on that day, provided I can snag a guest spot.

Nothing confirmed as yet (I'm yet to buy a new poker table; I had to dispose of my old dodgy one). As there will be a group of us (probably small) on the 3 Dec Christmas Lounge trip, I dare say it'll be a small informal evening. Will update as soon as I can though!
