AFF Cruise #2. Rerun. Crown Princess 4 nights 25-29 January 2025

For anyone looking for cruise insurance, I went with Australia post. Plugging in the dates for the cruise in this thread the cost for a ‘australia, domestic cruise’ is $47 if you include baggage ($12k limit) and cancellation, or $37 for the basic, which includes unlimited medical.

What about pre-existing conditions? Has anyone done a comprehensive cruising insurance review? As with any travel insurance, the key issues are medical assistance, evacuation, and repatriation. Are there others?

I know somebody who required extensive medical assistance on a cruise. This included the use of the onboard medical facilities, which cost a fortune—similar in cost to attending a US Medical facility.

Although I am not going on this cruise I was looking for insurance last week for son for a short cruise and looked at AP but then I noticed the line right at the end that I agreed to contact by them and others parties for marketing. No opt out.

Oh! I didn’t notice that, and never got a single marketing email!

Has everybody downloaded the Princess App and done their online checkin? It is possible for one person to do the checkin for both people in their party.

The App has now updated and baggage tags are available to print out for those checking in bags. Bags being checked in can be dropped prior to going to the checkin counter.

Boarding Passes are now available on the App. They will all say Blue Lane for checkin as we don't have the option yet to get the Medallions mailed to us. Make sure you are carrying the same photo ID that you use in the App for the checkin. At the counter you will be given a lanyard and Medallion. The Medallion is used for everything. For those with a drinks package the Medallion is used to order drinks (including room service) inclusive of coffee and alcohol.
It even unlocks your cabin door as you approach the cabin.

Thanks @straitman All good, except on-line check-in. I have a boarding pass (and baggage tags), does that mean I've checked-in previously? Can't remember. Or where should it be?
It means you have completed all steps of the process:

You just need to drop bags if you are checking any in and line up for your Medallion.
