For any chocolate lovers out there (YKWYA) two recommendations in Hobart
Coal River Farm shop in the Cat and Fiddle Arcade. BTW we will be berthing at Macquarie Wharf No 3, E-W if we are first in, NS if not.
These are fabulous (but expensive - think $2.50/chokkie)
If you are going outside Hobart, you'll find the farm on the road to Richmond from Cambridge (about where the airport is). Great place for lunch. Need to book.
Nutpatch, opposite Parliament House. Last time I was there, they were a bit sensitive about pics being taken in the shop. Ask first (as you would do anyway, I know
)
Of course if you are into whiskey, there is the global award winning
Lark Distillery cellar door also on the docks

if you are into gin, its a matter of avoiding the gin places rather than finding them.
For a nice feed of fish for lunch, you can go to any of the fish punts in Constitution dock (next to Lark Cellar Door), Muirs restaurant (the red roof between the two docks - upstairs is a la carte, downstairs bistro) or Fish Frenzy at the beginning of the shed on Elizabeth St Pier
