I suggest the dry, rather than the build up.

Many AFFers may be surprised just how HOT and HUMID (e.g. uncomfortable) Darwin can be during the build up and into the wet.

So have the dates that have been chosen for the poll correct or should they be changed?

They are fine. The main thing is it will be "earlier" than the normal time (Oct/Nov).

As usual my attendance will be dependent on work at the time.

Yeah, but HBA was later than the normal time. I think the great thing about the annual gathering is that it is flexible to take into account the local climate. Just so long as I chose the right dates to put forward all is fine.

Another June weekend to be mindful of is 16,17 and 18 when the v8 Supercars are in Darwin..
Accommodation from June to end of September is usually tight..

View attachment 86222as the poll has closed looks like the 7-9 July is the winner

Thank god for that... I looked at the poll over the weekend and it was a 3-way tie between a date in July, August and September! I was not looking forward to having to run a run-off poll to find the eventual winner come some time in January :p

I shall get started on the thread and seek out organisers. When the thread opens, if anyone is interested in raising their hand to compete with jsd's effort from this year, please do so!
