I will be there; booked flights on Qantas, arriving 5:55pm Friday and departing 6:30pm on Sunday.

currently staying at the Hilton, unless something else comes up thats cheaper.

I’m still WP (with Mrs H) for most of the weekend, but the bus times are problematic for us with a 1700 flight Sunday.

Advice on alternative transport HARS-SYD appreciated and I’ll also ask google.

Any chance you could change the flight instead of arranging earlier transport?
Just saw this advertised during the tennis

Same weekend
This was first brought up in post #53, a shame it is also on, but nothing we can do now.

You could catch a train from Albion Park Station (which is 850 metres from HARS)
to Wolli Creek and then change there for the airport line to the domestic terminal. If you didn’t want to pay the exhorbitant airport station access fee, you could take the train one stop further to Mascot and walk back to the domestic terminal - 10-15 mins. Travel time fromAlbion Park direct to domestic terminal is around 1hr 40 mins.

We live in Wollongong and often catch the train to the airport. Yes it is considered expensive because the airport station exits are privately owned, but it is very handy to the terminals. Another option is to get an uber from Wolli Creek to the domestic terminal. Other than the train the only other option would be an airport transfer company, one we have use before is Leisure Coast Limousine Services.

I would have loved to join in the AFF gathering however we don't get home from overseas until the following weekend.

Platinum for me. Calendar is blocked, and unlikely to be travelling then.

Opera House will depend on how mobile I am by then as I know the tours involve a lot of stairs, but otherwise should be good for the rest.

Another option if your coming from the gong is to get off at Rockdale or Banksia station and take the 420 bus to the airport. Rockdale is probably easier as its a major station compared to Banksia. It saying its $3.73 for the travel but takes 30mins to get there.

I should be able to make it for the 18-20th October weekend. Silver but living locally. Might just be the drinks on friday or maybe sat depending what is planned.

Most trains coming from Wollongong do not stop at Rockdale or Banksia only stopping at Sutherland, Hurstville, Wolli Creek and then Redfern.
