Now to sort out accommodation and flight back. Any suggestions? Is the Travelzoo deal for Hilton still valid? Thanks.

It was for the Doubletree, and was still valid when I checked late last week.

Do you mind sharing the code?
Haven't seen the current deal posted on AFF.

All it took this evening was a hot chocolate and the confirmation that she is going on a weekend scrapbooking retreat in November with a girlfriend. I'm in.

Booked flights - Friday QF786 (in J) and Sunday QF655 [the party flight] (upgrade requested, otherwise 13C)

Booked accomodation - DoubleTree Friday & Saturday nights on the Travelzoo rate.

Boomy, sorry for the late reply as I'm still overseas. I couldn't find the rate either, must've expired. I don't mind booking with Hilton direct at $169 which is still a good rate.

Hubby wines and dines.......missus scrapbooks.

Hmmmm........I'm not sure how you wrangled that trade but I really am in awe of your negotiation skills. If I tried that on with my nearest and dearest, I'd risk losing a selection of my anatomy that I'd really rather keep!

Hadn't expired, booking link can be found on the travel zoo website.

What can I say - know their weaknesses and strengths. Give up a future weekend and once they have it, ask for your own. She couldn't say no.

Looking forward to it

Is QF WP attending two dos in a row? Are my eyes deceiving me?

Actually, my wife has just realised that she forgot to put a previous booking in our calendar - the Monday is a student free day and she had organised with friends to stay at Noosa (already booked and paid). Hmmm, she's a little upset because she always has a go at me for not writing things in the calendar. We'll consider the options, as I have Flexi bookings for the flights but non refundable for the accom.

That's no good QF WP - maybe someone else can use your accommodation booking?

Well I'm relieved! She forgets to mark the calendar and it's your fault! Thank God.......normality reigns supreme! ;)

Send the kids to the Grandparents?

No, she's hasn't blamed me - she blames herself and got herself worked up about it last night so much she cried. She wants me to go and is looking at the option of changing dates with the Resort they booked.
