I will be at Friday drinks (perhaps arriving a little late - I have a bit of a hike to return to Melbourne).

As previously advised I'm unable to make Saturday dinner :(.

dot, I know it's past acceptance time for lunch - if it's possible for me to attend I will do Eureka and Saturday lunch. If it's too late to be included (and my fault entirely if it is) I will give Saturday a miss completely.

And I should be in for everything Sunday (definitely the footy).

Thanks

For security reasons all knives, sharp objects or cutting implements of
any kind and any length whether of metal or other material, knitting
needles and sporting goods must be packed in your checked baggage. They
cannot be carried in your cabin baggage or on your person. If they are,
the articles will be removed and not returned.

An umbrella may be considered dangerous depending on the type. It would
be safer to packer it in your luggage if you have any concerns.

Looks like I'll have to just bring the small foldaway one...

I've checked in a golf umbrella before. Was quite funny to see it spinning around the carousel with it's "J" tag. Made it home in one piece, and didn't see any baggage handlers using it for rain protection (it was a bit rainy that afternoon).

As we both arrive in MEL around the same time, let me know if you want to meet up. I'll be catching the Skybus, but as we're in different hotels and with planes possibly late not sure if there's any value there. Let me know. Otherwise I'll catch up with you on Sat.

Havn't decided whether I'm going straight from the airport to my hotel or loitering in the QP for a while and catching up with a few things.

I'd prefer not to checkin luggage ! I may have to head to our Melbourne office, but I won't find out till I hit ADL if that's happening; PM me your number and I'll give you a call when I land

I have checked in an umbrella on a flight from Japan to Australia. I had only brought the umbrella that day and didn't want to have to throw it away. It was too long to fit in my other luggage so it was tagged which also included a priority and fragile stickers.

The umbrella cost me all of 400 Yen just over $4.00. I still got it.

Just to let folks know this is the list of attendees for Sat Lunch - apologies for leaving it so late to post this - work has been hectic and I only just got back from MNL:

  • QF009
  • straitman x 2
  • Mal
  • falconea x 2
  • Dot (possibly with 2 x mini-dot if I can't find a baby sitter)
  • jswong
I've already dropped the estimate down with the restaurant to 8, but any last minute alterations could probably be satisfied if you are not on the list and do want to go.

See y'all real soon!! :D :D

May be a really stupid question, but is there a set dress code for the Dinner with the Industry?
