... My GF is now satisfied that I am not looking at cough anymore, I'm looking at AFF instead. She is not so convinced that AFF is any better though!
Take her for a Spa and dinner in the MEL/SYD First Lounge, followed by an evening flight to somewhere nice. :p

Yep.

And that's all I'll say on that one ;)

And while we're being scandalous......... *stage hook yanks anat0l violently off-stage*

*limps back* ...but the point is, I made it to the airport on time.

My heart almost missed a beat at MEL when I left the J Lounge with about 12 minutes before departure (so final calls were coming). When I passed Gate 1, the CityFlyer board said my flight was closed, and can you believe how I ran to the gate only to find the gate FAs still there with a long queue stretching out from the aircraft door into the aerobridge.

I think there are a few here who would claim 'Been there, done that' :D

So... per the poll results: who's up for AFF Gathers 2? ;) Perhaps another city this time - BNE maybe? :D

I can't make AFF#2 that Nov weekend unless it will be held in HNL.

Possible shedule if held in HNL:-
Trek up Diamond Head for sunrise & city skyline view, brunch at Duke's @ Outrigger, afternoon learn to surf session on Waikiki Beach, sunset cruise with all you can drink mai tai's, dinner at Halakeuoni .... ;) post dinner drinks at the Wunderlounge @ W Honolulu :p

Yes I'm getting carried away!!

On reflection I can't make the Saturday night unless it's held at Edithvale ... I have my Annual Golf Club presentation Dinner ... :-|

For BNE, bear in mind that there is a Meet a Moderator (somewhere between 23-25 Nov) thing happening with FT just before the suggested dates of AFF2. So maybe if you want to do BNE (and have someone to organise) the prior weekend would be better so people could stay over for the Meet The Mod thing.

Of course, you may not want to mix up AFF and FT things in such a way :)

Many thanks to all involved in organising last weekend's events. It was great to meet so many AFFers, and I'm looking forward to the next one! Maybe NZ?

Have we decided where it will be? The sale ends today, so I would need to book any airfares today...

Umm don't book anything yet! Not when the level of interest is yet to be determined, or the city.

OK... hands up who's for BNE? :D

There is also the FT AGM in BNE in Feb 09, and whilst I have nothing against BNE (really...;)) I don't think we necessarily want to be having too many events in the same city, especially in reasonably close proximity timewise (yep I know this one's an AFF do, but there are a bunch of people who frequent both sites).

Hmm, v valid points. Where do people think might be a good city to have the November one then? Don't mind having it in MEL again but thought it would be nice to move it around the country. :)

DRW, SYD, or ADL?

I wouldn't mind DRW, as I've never been there before.
