When this first came up, i thought, finally something i can attend and work into a work trip and its easy, but as luck would have it we have an unmovable engagement that weekend..

But anyways, have fun you lot, Adelaide can be a hoot!

OK...inbound flight eventually booked.

Friday 28 Nov: QF661 dep BNE 0825 arr ADL 1135

If anyone's arriving around that time, perhaps we can share a taxi into the city. Otherwise, I'll probably hunt for a coach or public bus service.

How's the weather in ADL? I'm hoping not blistering hot (unless it's just dry hot - that's at least tolerable), but we have had the most unusual stormy/rainy weather in BNE....

Yes, I vote Rockford as well.

Aside from the wine, we will need a lunc venue as well, so any suggestions on that are also welcome.

You guys and the Barrossa

McClaren Vale is FAR easier to get to and has some great wine options as well as some very good tucker Places ...

Whatever .. enjoy ...

Well, if people suggest Mclaren Vale wineries, then perhaps we will change, but at the moment Barossa it is. Since we are not on an organised tour we can easily change things!

As a side note, I have spoken with Luisa from AMEX and she sends on her apologies for this event.

Her wedding anniversary is more important

But on a more serious note, she has said she would love to be a part of any future events and can't wait to introduce us to more of her team.

I Haven't left myself much time for research, but are there any particular wineries in the Barossa that people want to get to.

medhead has made some suggestions (http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/com...ers-radelaide-28-30-a-14336-3.html#post187160)

(Rockford, Seppelt, Yalumba)

Suggest that you call Rockford before getting there to check opening times.... If it's Basket Press or Black Shiraz release dates then you wont be able to taste any wines...

Also try Turkey Flat while you're there..

I guess the Amex promotion wasn't part of the conversation. :-|
