Thanks for the feedback. Have checked Hilton ADL again today and rates are the same lower rate I have for my new booking.

On the other hand, having a cracker of a time trying to get a good seat on a 738 for QF661 BNE-ADL tomorrow. Tried at 0920h this morning and again just now; was auto-allocated 7F, just moved myself to 4B.

Pretty much all of ACDF was blocked out for rows 4, 5 and 6 when I checked this morning. I seemed to luck out a better selectivity when I was a QFF PS, so somehow I think being a QFF SG bites at times (but then again I get QP access, so no pun intended).

Checked again and managed to get 4A. Thank goodness.

Hope it isn't too late, but a +1 might be coming from wine cruise onwards. Sorry for the tardiness...

Got 7C for tomoz. :)

When are you likely to have confirmation? As this will push the wine tour definitely up to the Tarago

By tonight hopefully. Why not just do the Tarago? If it's -1 it's a more comfy option, if +1 it'd fit us all. Win-win. :D

anat0l, maybe pass on your rate through PM to oz_mark as you seem to be able to get a better rate ?

You all enjoy yourselves this weekend and think of all those Amex transactions you'll be racking up... (for those in the current promo like oz_mark).

The rest of us will have to live vicariously through your exploits. Having just been to a Penfolds re-corking clinic on Tuesday, my wine cellar is doing okay (although advised by Jason, a Penfolds winemaker to drink a couple over Xmas - such a hard job!)

See there has been a change of guest Flashware...

Well, my 'status' was certainly recognised appropriately! 20D!

All other row 20 seats, and all rows behind available for me to select (does this actually mean they are currently really unallocated, or that by checking in online I can choose other seats where people may be 'virtually' allocated but not yet checked in).

Ahead, there were a bunch of middles bit only one aisle (17C, with no-one currently showing in 17A or B). Soi I chose it, though unsure how wise this was.

Is OLCI available for the Tarago yet? (I do agree we should play safe and go for the larger option, assuming Mark and/or Dan are happy to drive it - it aint going to cost much between 5 or 6 of us)

Just FYI about transport to and from the airport, a couple of options:

  • Adelaide Metro buses: catch the J1, J2 or J3 JetBuses to Grenfell Street in the city, which is about 1 block from Rundle Mall and a couple hundred metres from Victoria Square (where the Hilton Adelaide is).

Cost for an adult one-way is $2.60 during 9am-3pm and $4.20 at all other times. Buses leave every 15 minutes.
  • SkyLink Airport Shuttle: leaves every 30 minutes on :15 and :45 every hour. Drop offs possible to many hotels in Adelaide city.

Cost for an adult one-way is $8.00 at all times. See this PDF file for more detail.

+1's attendance has been confirmed from wine cruise onwards. :)

And I've moved myself up to 4C for tomo. :D

Just a note for the dinner of those who don't know, the booking is in the name of Daniel for 7pm.

I got on to an earlier flight as I otherwise had nothing to do all day. The lady at the Blounge moved me up without too much dramas; got seat 6A. Boarding at 1050, will get in uhh... whenever that flight is meant to get in. :p See y'all soon. :D

I'll not be arriving till 11pm at the earliest, assuming my flight arrives on time; but I would suggest maybe 8pm or so for drinks tonight?

OK if it is 2000 I can live with that :). Had just assumed it would be a tad earlier!!

If you guys decide that you're leaving on / around 11 let me know... I might give QF009 a call once I have checked in at my hotel to see whether it's worth popping over or not... (due to time, of course!)

Very turbulent flight over, yummy blueberry muffin. Shuttle bus went directly to the Hilton and cost only $5. Got upgraded to an executive floor room on the 18th floor, unfortunately no in-room comp internet unlike Hilton TYO. Typing this from the exec lounge now, free internet here limited to 15 mins. Will go out hunting for lunch in a sec.

Look fwd to seeing everyone at Tap Inn tonight. :D
