After a year or two of watching the game , my calls are most
I saw Weagles defeat the hawks in a quality game earlier this year. Even without NicNat and Gaff I was happy to snap up the $2.13 being offered.

One thing that made the Weagles win preferable to me was the inane Magpie chant "USA ... USA ... USA ..." whenever Cox did something (no issue with the player himself).

It's bad enough at Olympics and other international sports meets - It's way out of place at an AFL Grand Final ...

my call mid game was that WestCost should ( & probably would ) win..they were the better team and in the end the better team won.

As a disappointed Pies supporter I tend to agree, although Weagles should have won by more, the two quick goals in the last almost broke them.

Pies really missed Maynard down back who did his shoulder in the 1st Qtr - so they missed height and a rotation.
And I think WC got the run of the umpires green in the forward 50, although umpiring generally was pretty happhazard.

They really won it in the scramble with about 5-6min to go blocking a number of kicks in the Pies 50, thenn going on to score the winning goal.

One happy chappy in the west here. What a game. Crowd was going nuts at the Wembley Hotel.

Go Eagles...will be there with everything crossed.

Was living overseas in 2015, but was there in 2006. 12 years on that last quarter is still what I remember as the most stressful 30 minutes of my life....priorities changed now so I don't think I'll be that bad again (I hope) but should be a good afternoon!
I was wrong - I never lost the faith (honestly) - but the stress was something I only felt 12 years earlier, in the same place. Even during the first quarter it felt we were just not doing much wrong. But to bring back the game over 60 minutes of super hard, determined footy after a poor first quarter, to take it level in to the fourth....

And then to go down another two goals in 90 seconds, but to have the faith, the self-belief and the courage to keep fighting back when it would be so easy to just roll over...I love the psychology of sport and I somehow feel so incredibly proud of a group of guys that I've never met.

I still don't have a voice. What a day - I will remember that day for the rest of my life.

Couldn’t agree more. One of the most stressful but ultimately exhilarating games I have ever witnessed. Still can’t believe it and will have to watch it again & again to de stress.
