I notice one of the founders has been selling too

Sold Novonix today so if they soar it was us who took the monkey off the share price.
Well that worked and up they went. Still we made a good profit so not a problem really.

Yes @Quattro that was a difficult trading day. The SPI for Wednesday is up at the moment. Tomorrow could be better.
i read Amaysim’s AYS result and wondered why folks were being so much for such an ordinary result.
Meanwhile QBE lost its CEO and two directors sold shares in Temple and Webster.
Spoke to Aspen Group APZ and quite a bit of their 6 cent distribution is not taxable. They are making progress despite Covid-19 stopping travel.
The PERTH rental market now is at 1% vacancy and they bought a line of homes at excellent prices.

We are out of Z1P. Have had doubts about whether this type of business will make net profits. Sales without net profits don’t work for us. Cannot go wrong by bagging a good profit.
Today the share market rallied so that pretty much fixed yesterday’s drop.

We took some profits out of SZL on Monday before the blood bath. what we’re left holding now cost us nothing😀😀

How come the vacancy numbers are so low? Is it perhaps time to buy Perth property now?

We are close to full in Perth with our mostly en-suited 147 units in Perth. PERTH is pretty low priced compared with Melbourne and Sydney.
In Parkwood we were looking at a 3 bedroom ,1 bathroom,2 carport detached unit at $379,000.
Aspen APZ grabbed a line of houses and they are all let except for one so the rental market has tightened.

Our hands went up for Mali Lithium MLL thru Euroz as a a placement. They have a new gold project In the company that looks exciting but it carries the Mali risk.
We sold almost half of our Reliance Worldwide RWC shares as they rallied strongly over the last few days.

We were wondering if there will be margin calls in the US tonight to get their market to drop sharply.
Tonight the US market is falling again.
We have our BUB allocation and MLL is in progress over at Euroz and Hartleys . Mali Lithium is really going to be a gold stock once the funds are raised. Lots of folks will avoid Mali so it may take time to raise the money needed.
We did get some lithium shares with Orocobre ORE in their recent placement.
Now to our mistakes......Didn’t pick up $30,000 Qantas shares in their recent SPP which was at a low price and we thought the Lynas LYC issue had a project that was way too difficult to do.

So Cove. Am i correct in that Appen have risen from single figures to $44+ in the last couple of years , and are currently around $32??

With Appen we read how John Deere used Appen’s Artificial Intelligence to dramatically cut down the amount of pesticide in a farming project. It is in their reports that we have been studying.

Never been enthusiastic about Appen.
Made out as some tech company, but to me they are just a specialised labour hire company

As I understand, their core business is building annotated sets of data for machine learning on a project basis - and to do this they rely on a pretty transitory work from home workforce (contractors) who get paid piecemeal rates for tagging data such as social media posts, voice clips or video stills.

Obviously have some smarts in marketing and some IP in their workflow and data collection tools but none of it seems particularly unique to me from afar.

We passed on Appen. We took up some Secos SES who do biodegradable bags. Their journey to profitability has taken a long time.Did not get many so it was rushed.
The Mali Lithium placement MLL is in two parts and needs a company meeting to approve the second tranche of shares. This is a gold stock.
My son went for WOR as 5 brokers have recommended it.
We sold some Perenti PRN at a nice level.
Novonix share price took off without us being on board.
