Ethical Investments

We have one.. it's a dog.. unless there is sufficient reward in the ethos
How many ethii (new word).. does it take to buy a loaf of bread ?

Today we reviewed Kogan. KGN appears to be at a Price Earnings of 50 against this current years trading. They have an operating expense of about 16 to 17%. Their return on capital dropped but their customer numbers increased. Not planning to sell any at this stage.
We are out of APT and Z1P as we have doubts. Might regret those thoughts.

Has anyone been following the takeover for Oneview Holdings (OVH)? The takeover bid from Iress was at 0.40, with the stock trading at around 0.395, with it due to complete in a month from now, subject to shareholder approval.
I was very pleased to see the bid from Iress has now been increased to 0.43. The market price had a spurt but has now settled around 0.41. I will be putting in some more around that level as a nice parking spot for some idle cash for a month.

We have the Dusk new issue come in today. Mrscove doesn't think much of them but their figures are quite reasonable.

Dangerous game for a few cents with Thorney trying to build a blocking stake. Could all end up falling over.
If that is all true, why not just sell at 42.5c now?

Holding out for more works some of the time......just not every time. You have to decide the value of OVH.
We bought CGR at 28 after a takeover failed at 60 cents a while ago.

With these stocks like Flight Centre they had to sell their head office building, close multiple branches and do a low priced share issue to survive along with government handouts. Spending 6 months doing refunds would not have been easy.
They have a much lower breakeven now if the travel business opens up around Australia and New Zealand.

Today we sold a hybrid security that will mature in 12 months time at the face value of $100 per unit. We did not fancy losing 0.95 off 3.50 by holding to September,2021. That was in our SMSF so we get the taxes refunded.

Ok those ANZPDs are all gone. We didn’t fancy getting about 2.6% for a 12 month hold.
Bellevue Gold drill results were stunningly good.
We sold a couple of gold hopefuls and have the profits from those trades.
We are in for the Gascoyne restructure as underwriters. That is GCY which should relist in October after falling into administration. Their placement price was 2.5 cents. Their gold mine is producing now.
Looks like NWH will get their money owed by GCY so Euroz think NWH is a good stock to own.

Today Adore Beauty is doing an offering at what we consider to be a ridiculous price that is a multiple of sales. We didn't go for many as they are barely profitable and will need to change their sales by 10 to 100 times as well as their profitability.
Kept thinking about Adore so we pulled our bid.
Private equity deal is way too rich for a barely profitable internet seller.

We think the market might slump a bit with Trump and wife getting Covid-19.

Already did. Dropped 60pts at 3pm

Us Futures currently down 1% was more earlier.

Very interesting with timing of the election.
