I couldn’t get two Westpac SPPs to work so I won’t bother calling. I did the other six that I had in my travel bag. Should get them at around $24 with the 2% discount. Now if they trade at $20 to $22 I will have made a wrong call.
i do still love the ex CBA CEO saying “code error” and that would explain Westpac’s issue during the Gail Kelly/ Brian Hartzer reign.
i did get some EZPW shares as they are on a Price Earnings of under 4 for 2020. I am down two pennies so far.

Feeling impoverished after all the SPPs and now Z1P are rattling the can too. I could always pass on some of them......
I did Atlas Arteria last night.

Will try to fix those two today Dr Ralph. Maybe just jetlag but the others worked ok. Yes BPay works.

So the Bpay was rejected?

Not sure that that has ever happened to me before.

If you got the number(s) wrong for the Bpay wouldn't it just go to the wrong person/wrong account, but still be successful?

It wasn’t BPay it was the ownership code that wouldn’t get recognized. I will skype the registry today.

Still conflicted about whether to participate in the Westpac SPP.

Safest thing is probably to sit it out.
Friday 6th is the last day to pull out of the WBC SPP and I am unsure if I should sit this one out considering all that has happened. I agree with others that it's likely to not get better for a while, but I did say I was in this for the long term. Just thinking it might be more sensible to try BOQ instead, although I am sure that is equally fraught with peril. Perhaps not a financial institution? :p

SPP closed yesterday. Didn't think you could pull out after that date.

Although withdrawal option is available until that date for people who applied before Nov 20.

Yes, on re-reading I see it is available only to those who applied prior to Nov 20, which I did. I applied on Nov 12.

I think the SPP price will be around $24.30 odd allowing for the 2% discount off the trading period strike price. That means it is at about the current market price.
We may not get all that we applied for.

I had one of my oil shares announce they were going to pay a dividend so TAP is now back in my good books. Let me tell you I don’t do oil shares well at all.

7% of Westpac shareholders took up the share purchase plan and the price is $24.20. The market closed tonight at $24.21 and the Sydney AGM should be a corker if you can get there. i am flying that day so I will miss it.

I see that about 9% exercised their right to withdraw from the offer.

If Westpac trade below $24.20 by a chunk then those who withdrew will be the clever ones. I am in Narita heading to Singapore and then PERTH so I will miss a bit of trading.

BOQ SPP offer closes December 20.

Any thoughts? Price could be better than the recent Westpac offer:

"The issue price per Share will be the lesser of: $7.78 per Share, being the issue price paid by institutional investors under the Placement; and the VWAP3 of Shares traded on the ASX during the five trading days up to, and including, the SPP closing date (expected to be 20 December 2019) less a 2% discount, rounded down to the nearest cent."

BOQ has gone poorly and may be a takeover target. You will probably get them in the $7.30 to $7.50 range unless there is a big rally.
CEO is newish.
This is not financial advice
