AFF Member Stock Discussion

I topped up a few parcels on Friday and pondered RIO and BHP (I already have quite a lot of both) but passed 😳

Mind you, WDS was one I did and it’s up over 3% today! Dang, almost bought 2x what I did….
WDS also on my top-up list and was tempted in $23's.
I also wanted Viva (VEA) and same reason when it went low $2.70s
Trying to sit on my hands

Have looked for an up and coming bank for quite a while as the big 4 banks are in idle mode with their profitability and have lowish customer satisfaction.
I just bought some JDO which is Judo Capital at $1.64 as they are 5 years old and growing as a newish SME bank lender. Judo has predicted a 15% growth in profit before tax in this current year.
Haven’t loaded up yet and I will watch their updates.
Meanwhile both Cyclopharm and QPM are stirring. QPM are doing a name change as they are now focussed on drilling for gas in FNQ.

Yep
Cyclopharm picked up the veterans contract in USA. They are one of the most lucrative users of health care services in that country and they pay. …explains the 10% share increase in price this week. Well done to this important company

Thanks for the Judo information. No doubt if successful they will be bought by one of the big 4 — and end up back in our existing portfolios

We are long term holders of Cyclopharm and took up the issue at $1.42.
Very happy with their news last week and it was good enough to move CYC.

Interesting, thanks for flagging them.

Got the idea from LSF who think they could be a winner. We have been long term investors in LSF. They are hopping Judo is a stock that could easily double.
Yesterday a friend told me he opened a term deposit with Judo in his superfund and it was all done in a few minutes. He had just sold his business premises out of his superfund as he has recently retired.

I hope that JDO don't go zooming as we only bought 50,000 for a look and see. If their next report is ok I will consider getting a lot more. Patience can be a virtue.
For a fixed income player there is JDOPA hybrid that is a gross 10.85% less the premium of the hybrid at around $111 that will expire in 2028.
No need to rush....
Hold those thoughts @tgh as investing is a long term thing.
Then going back over the whole thread is impressive @MARTINE.
Now Mrscove enjoys being an Ophir shareholder and hates us being in LIC and IFL.

Just looked at the Qantas AGM date and it clashes with the Waterco meeting date.
I do hope someone gets stuck into the gutless board of directors this year but it won't be me.
