Now we have another drop in the US markets and gold is up and oil is down.Lots of folks would be worrying about their retirement nest eggs with this volatility.

Yep -
Dow currently down 5%
S&P currently down 6%
Nasdaq currently down 6.75%

Those aren't normal falls of the markets - its going to be another messy day on the ASX.

They certainly overcooked the recovery yesterday
 
It looks like pausing the tariffs hasn't really resolved the inner circle's major concern - U.S. government bonds have crept back up again - this is the five day chart -

I've now bought back everything that I sold yesterday for even less than I paid the previous day.
 
@Dr.Ralph .. only tells us about his wins, as a professional gambler there must be losses .
Gambling is a skill and many folks , with applied intelligence and discipline, do win more than lose.
I suspect that I could also win more than lose when gambling with something I knew a bit about….but lack the discipline (inclination)…...
..after the cats beat the crows last night ( against the odds) I might start practising on the footy…. just for fun

Ok, I'll admit that I did loose money on the TAB last night backing Penrith in the NRL.

As for the stock market, I don't know anyone who could ever claimed that everything they touched turned to gold. I know I've never claimed or intimated anything like this.

Nobody did say this or implied it. You just report your positives, which is your prerogative, so it "appears" as though you always win. Truth be told, I don't suppose any of us really like to report our losses 😃 .
 
Anyone looking at Monash ivf MVF ?

Down 36% yesterday = -$150m . Not logical wrt liability cost, so clearly market concern...what will the impact on revenue/profit be (medium term)? 1H25 earnings results up 10% EBITDA $35m ("underlying", so excludes eg litigation 😆)

I.e. what's their reputation like in the industry, and how much will this incident affect that? Will doctors start saying...safer elsewhere?

And in regards to the zygote mixup, I hope that they payup big time.
