Only one downside, that Rex lounge has no loos inside, so you have to go to use the general one near gate 1, and if not peak period, and you want to reenter the lounge before your flight, you have to either wait for another pax with a pin code, or for that door to open to let someone out.
No call bell, only a pin code reader, maybe for paying people who are Rex club members.
Sometimes, they have the same staff member doing counter duty on the outside, is the same person doing the tidying up on the inside.
Pre the admin/cease of the 737s, they said they were going to redevelop it to include loos, but now, I guess thats not going to happen.
Nice and compact, good if you fly the small inter South Aus Rex routes all the time, or dont want to pay VA, then Rex lounge is a good option.
But for $65 to include loos, VA wins.

Did you read the article - you just repeated half of what Matt said 🤷‍♀️

I actually would prefer the peace and quiet these days, the VA and QF lounges are a zoo at the best of times.
