Weirdly, the summary thumbnail box says Melbourne Airport. (EDIT: Just changed to Sydney airport)

As an aside, the Melbourne Airport Rex Lounge just had new furniture installed two weeks ago when I visited it. Looks much better. Similar bright coloured couches. I booked and used their meeting room which can seat 8 comfortably, although I was by myself for a few virtual meetings.

Yes! I noticed that too, They have out in new furniture.

Sad that they will take my $36 for priority pass, but my diamond status is useless!

Unless I fly rex.

I assumed Rex lounge would have gone the same way as their 737 metal, obviously I was wrong (although I had to check Matt’s post date twice to make sure it’s not 2023.
Did they not close it down having lost the business class pax crowd or did they think they can still make a profit out of full paying customers?

The lounges were a membership product that pre-dated the 737 ops by … perhaps decades.

Indeed. And given lounge access was restricted to full fare business class pax, I was often the sole lounge occupant on board! There were a few pax in the lounge who used to go when the flight to Albury and King Island were called.
