AFF Sydney Wine Meet Ups

In the end, it was difficult to justify the travel for any bottles (although I was going to bring a dessert wine as that would have fitted) as I am travelling HLO on this short trip.

I'm currently out at Parramatta after going to Korean BBQ last night with clients and feeling it was better to stay out here rather than come back into the CBD.

Should easily make it in and try and find the restaurant. As the only one I know is penegal, so I can find the group (or they can find me), I'll be dressed in black pants, grey shirt with blue & grey tie and I'm 6'2". I'll have QF, VA and AFF cards on my laptop and QFF bag (and a red "remove before flight" tag)

What is the name for the table booking?

No need to bring anything - I think we have enough wine locally :)
Also, we'll probably finalise the wine list once we know what the weather's going to be like - our last lunch had 30+ degree heat, and the two cabernets we brought (from memory a 2005 Shadrach and a 2006 Coppermine Road) did not drink very well.

You'll spot us - we'll be the table with boxes and bags of wine! (There's a big swap happening). We're inside and it's booked under the name of (actually I can't say publicly, as it would give away Katy's real name!!).

Looking forward to meeting you ...

Got a PM from Katy and penegal gave me some background on you Wozza so Googled (and found) you.

Looking forward to to meeting you all (well I presume there are more than 4 of us) and watching the swap happen.

Leaving Parramatta in 30 mins enroute to Ambar.

Great! If you arrive early, let me know. And I'll set off early to meet you.

Gee I wish I could be there to join you all for what sounds like a fabulous festive get together.

I'm sure you will all have a great time. Enjoy!!

Shame you couldn't join us, Buzz. We'll raise a glass to your good self.

I'm at Parramatta train station on platform 3. Looks like I may make it early - next train is Hornsby (LimEx) in2 mins. Better check out which CBD station to alight. I'm thinking Town Hall (rather than Central or Wynyard). Feel strange not bringing any (red) wine - maybe I can find a dessert wine?

Penegal is too busy to post but sent me an SMS saying he is trying to finish some work by midday - that way he can join us by 1pm :D ;)

We have waaaaay too much wine on offer - just bring your good self. Alight at Town Hall and walk, or change at Town Hall for Martin Place station.
PM me your email address, and I can add you to the email thread.

Cheers
AC

Great to see that 8 people made it along.

This is probably the most "restrained" some of you have ever seen me (the perils of numerous afternoon meetings, etc).
