Following the weekend closure of the AFF8 poll there has been a bit of discussion both on and off forum about which location has actually won. MEL had more votes, but CNS didn't do too badly, so this is the last chance to choose a location. One or the other.

5 days should be enough! :p

I think we should go to Outer Mongolia, but I suspect I may be on my own for this option... :p

Will watch the poll closely to see the winner.

I'm totally split decision wise. Do we have any cns members? If not it may be a better bet as then everyone gets to fly up!

Maybe we should have it in Singapore - there's a chance you'll attend then! :D

The vote is cast

CNS it is for me, I'll scope out the best Vego places in March!

Have family near CNS, it's more easily justifiable than MEL.

Yes, much higher chance I will get to SIN, compared to CNS...

On a slightly more serious note, the issue I have with CNS is that the airlines have really neglected CNS with their schedules, and a "weekend" do would force many of us to attend for only 24 hours (midday Sat to midday Sun), or take a day off work (Friday).

As long as you remain a retired gentleman and don't recline into me I'll help you find the way!

There is a JQ flight Thurs a.m. from SYD that may suit some. ;) ;)

Edit: What is this 'work' you speak of?

Tiger have a good schedule

What's Tiger?

Actually the VA schedule from SYD isn't too bad and would let me fly up after work on a Friday and leave around 5pm Sun. MEL still easier for me though.

And find the best steak joint for me please

That would be Water Bar & Grill Waterbar and Grill

Definitely the best steak and grill restaurant in CNS. Can highly recommend the Pork Ribs: best ever, and they are huge, and all the steaks are cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere, though a bit on the dearer side for prices (CNS restaurants aren't generally cheap though, unfortunately), and on the plus side for a large group, they allow individual payments at a table. Fantastic location along the waterfront, just down from the Hilton and under the Shangri La.

We should do it true AFF style and fly OOL-SYD-CNS!

Or for something extra special, you can do OOL-SYD-BNE-CNS.

I haven't attended one of these, and wasn't very active last time it was in CNS. If it happens to settle on CNS, then I may be able to come along to a dinner event.

We could be the AFF welcome crew and pick up all the Eastern seaboard folks on their way up, OOL - MEL -SYD - BNE - CNS :P

Good VA run for the west coasters in this, PER - SYD - CNS on a flexi can be had for under $370 and nets 70 SC's (or 140 out if that last DSC offer :) !
