Hmmm. I have just spent about 15 minutes trying to work out the 600,000th post and by process of elimination fell over this post.

If JohnK next post contest is 750,000 that be about April May 2013 based on current posting rates

Sounds about the right timing for next one and then go for the big one. The 1,000,000th post contest with I am assuming some special prizes on offer. See if I can get to 1,000,000 QFF points at the same time.
