I agree with what d15.in.oz says in the above post. To me, this board has much more of a community feel to it than other boards that I frequent. Of course, as in real communities, from time to time some members will irritate other members. It has happened before, and I dare say it will happen again.

I would hope that as a result of this, we don't lose anyone from the community and that includes serfty and kiwi flyer, but they will each make their own decisions on whether they will continue to particpate here. I, for one, have certainly learnt a great deal from each of them.

Come on guys. Let’s not self destruct the forum over a bit of fun.

I agree that a few went silly at the thought of a little contest BUT it’s time to move onward and upward and back to where/why most people frequent the forum. As I recall there have been a few run away days and to the amusement of all. (Wacky Wednesday etc) Put it down to experience.

If there is anyone who is still upset and is attending Oz fest then I’ll buy them a beer and if they are really lucky I’ll donate them my cold :!:

serfty, in all honesty, I read all the previous posts and did use the information contained to ascertain my guess. I wasn't anywhere near as scientific as you - although I did use a calcularor.

IMO, There is no possible way you could have worked that date & time out on an average posts per day basis.

And as for a "Static level of posts"? Are you in Election Mode?
