We might need an enquiry of the opposite :!:   ;)

I blame to culprit that organised a DO in ZQN taking all the regulars away :)

(and we are on the home stretch now - less than 100 posts to go)

This will probably set a record for the winning prediction that is furthest away from the actual event :p

Perhaps we should start a sub-competition to guess at what time tomorrow the 90,000th post occurs ;)

If only Qantas had introduced Y+ bookings last week ... :-|

or a well respected and valuable forum contributor had not placed himself in exile :( .

Finally!

Congratulations to the winner QF009 with a guess of nearly 2 days before the actual 90,000th post.

It is shame that the Kiwi Mainland DO spoiled the predictions of most but if it is any consolation it was a very good weekend. For all concerned KiwiFlyer is quite OK and has his hands full with multiple DONE4's, Flyertalk and work commitments.

It does seem that JohnK made the 90,000th post

Congratulations QF009

oops.... too slow

QF009,
Congratulations!! A hit amd miss thingo eh??

JohnK,
To you to, congrats on posting the 90,000 post.
Now can you bring back Kiwiflyer for a bit more excitment
for the 100,000 post??

Cheers,
Ric

Thanks Ric!

There are already 4 major prizes on offer for the 100,000th post thread. If anyone else wishes to offer more prizes I can think of a few more categories. It will be very exciting and post padding will not be tolerated. You may actually find some of your posts deleted if post padding becomes excessive. Nah, just kidding. ;)

I predict that the 100,000th post thread will be the biggest contest we have had on AFF. Watch this space as I plan to start this contest a little earlier than usual to give people time to fine tune their unique calculation formulae.

Hmm, I see that the posting rate is back to a more respectable 150 or so per day.

How is anyone meant to make educated guesses with these types of variations..... ;)

There is no reason to think that they should be consistent day in day out. Just wait till the details of how any seat on any flight get released. That will cause a spike in the messages :)

That is a very generous average. Over the last 3 months the average has been hovering between 109-119 posts per day. The last week or so it dropped noticeably.

Educated guesses are for HSC students not for posters on a frequent flyer forum. ;)

I'm not sure that 'educated guesses' and the 'Playground' actually go together at all :!:
