Air Asia SYD-KUL $99

My sister contacted me because she was trying to book Air Asia out of NZ to Cambodia but Sydney flights (to Cambodia) were cheaper at AUD$180 so there must be still some around. One question she asked was whether she would have a problem booking with an NZ CC. I suggested not because I am sure I have seen plenty of people on this forum who have booked out of KL no problems but thought I would ask if anyone has had Credit Card problems with Air Asia trying something like this, e.g. AUD CC on KL site.

Done that many times before - no problems.
They even accepted Amex without surcharge from memory.

Once I had a problem with a card not working, tried a different one, worked fine. Both ended up getting charged, but they refunded one automatically.

No more $99ers. As previously stated no $250'ers either - BUT with the ACCC making some claims, last Friday I saw some further than KL destinations like BKK at gettable prices say $500'ish return - so may pay to re-search I deals have been added ahead of any orders.
