Well this is certainly very cheap, especially with Seat Only fare with TV and tea/drinks ..... better than Jetstar.

Certainly; I've booked a round trip as part of a mileage run.

If I lived in SYD I would book more as ex Oz AUD160/NZD200 for 60 AirNZ SP is as good as it gets in this region.

I have been able to find a CHC-SYD one-way for ~NZD66 for seat only on 20 September 2010.

Can anyone think of a real cheap way to get from BNE/SYD-CHC on 19 September 2010? There is an Any Seat Award on QF SYD-CHC for 18,000 QFF points (less 2,642 QFF points as Platinum and 222 QFF points loyalty bonus) + ~$120.

What is the likelihood of another grab a seat from SYD for those dates? Don't really care about status on Air NZ. Will be able to save my father ~AUD80 on tobacco and get another couple of stamps in the passport.

Unfortunately that is the only spare weekend I have for a long time. Fly out on Sunday and return Monday morning in time to head off to BNE and work by about lunchtime.

Wow, now I just have to find cheapo seats from CHC to WLG and back, but... NZ got me onto their Works Plus SYD-CHC for that price (2A), but for ~AUD40 JQ got me coming back.

Although the ever stupid JQ website, attempted to add a NZD500 (i.e. not NZD5) credit card fee to their cheap NZD44.16 fare, so I was forced to buy a NZD50 voucher and redeem it. But wait, when I went to select 1A (+NZD27, with the extra to go onto my CC) the whole process asked again for over NZD500 on top of the voucher. Stupid Jetstar, you missed out on up-selling me because your website is flawed. So, I ended up with just a standard seat selection (+NZD2) totalling NZ46.16 (and forfeit the rest of my voucher, at less than the CC fee anyway) Whereas congratulations NZ, they got me onboard, and successfully upsold me.

Those are the Ex OZ special travel dates - I quoted SYD-CHC-SYD prices in AUD. This sale ends today (like the ex NZ one for August/September).

If these were ex MEL I would have snapped a couple up by now for SP runs.
