Try: Thousands of summer holidays at risk after European air control staff announce strikeIt’s grim all right
“Controllers at Eurocontrol, the European air traffic management body, revealed that they would walk out over the peak summer period after talks over staffing, rosters and pay broke down.
An industry source said it could lead to delays or cancellations of up to 12,600 flights across Europe every day. “In a full-blown strike, 20 to 30 per cent of flights would be at least delayed,” the source said. “They are big numbers.”
Sources said a first wave of strikes was set to be announced on Monday. Officials at the organisation believe action is now “inevitable” and will target the start of the main school holiday period in England and Europe.”
That’s a bit of it. I’ll keep looking for an alternative link.

Like you @kamchatsky, we have a number of fights through European ports in the next fortnight: CDG, LYS, MAD, LIS, BCN, LHR, BRU, ZRH, FRA.Well what an interesting time for me. We are due to fly Vie-jtr next Tuesday, and then Jtr-ath-fco on next Friday. I hope we don't get stuck because of the strikes....
Whereas I hope the strikes are in July and all back to normal come August when Im flying in Europe
For me no strike in July and they can strike all they want in August. I guess we are all playing Russian roulette here.
I will be flying in both months so October for me. I just wish companies and in some case's employees were reasonable and there was more limits on public transport strikes.Whereas I hope the strikes are in July and all back to normal come August when Im flying in Europe
Monday EU time. So within next 24 hours.Have any planned dates been published yet?
