Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

PsO = Premium seat Option on OptionTown....

Essentially I had paid something like $150 for my Y ticket back from F1 ages ago (almost all taxes and fuel fines).
I had then paid OptionTown $200 for the PsO (again pretty early on)

Then this special came up guaranteeing Business for <$100, so I jumped on it --might as well guarantee the seat, hoping that OptionTown woudn't hit and I would get refunded....

Anyhow I got the email 48hrs before saying I had been upgraded - and threw away that ticket.
Interestingly pax next to me was only told about upgrade at airport, and email arrived when they reached Sydney.

Still I look at it as J for <$450 all-in so not that bad (although could have been a lot better).

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

Can I just say to the OP: THANK YOU

What an amazing deal. $256 per person return in air Asia premium flat bed (business class). This is not your traditional business class no, but the seat is As good as the Qantas skybed mk 1. For this price I got priority checkin, priority baggage, express pass both for departure and arrival at SYD, a small economy class style meal with a bottle of water and a great seat with a decent duvet and fluffy pillow. I slept beautifully on the plane and the service was great. A grey goose 50ml bottle plus cranberry juice is less than $7 on board, additional food and snacks are also cheap. I ordered a second meal on each sector (SYD-KUL-SYD) for less than $5 each. Overall this was one of the best deals I have ever had for travel.

And it was all over the easter period peak! Thanks so much again

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

Just adding my thanks to the OP. Coupled a $155 SYD-KUL with the EY KUL-AUH-MEL fare discussed on this site for a very cheap getaway to Europe.

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

Right now I'm sitting with my toes in the sand in the Perhentian Islands (East coast of Malaysia) thanks to the OP. $256 return over the Easter weekend is beyond awesome. Also, a big thanks to AirAsia for honouring the price.

Note: that's the wife in the pic - who is very happy with me for the trip :-)

Re: Super Cheap Air Asia Premium Deal

As much as we all love status I have to give a big thumbs up to D7's lay fly seats, las time I went to Europe was with SWMBO routed OOL - KUL - STN on those seats, $1200 for 2 pax one way. Amazing value, I appreciated the sleep!
