Interesting times, the LCC buying in to the full service carrier not the other way around. Also interesting considering Malaysian's impending arrival in to OneWorld. I wonder what the end result will be down the track in terms of routes and which airline serves which. AirAsia will be hoping it helps to open up more routes (like getting in to SYD).

Not to mention the JQ- Air Asia tie up, have to make some friends in the hope you can offload some of those aircraft you have on order.

This is the obvious level of "capitalisation" MH wanted and Qantas didn't want to fund in their joint airline.
