Airline of The Year 2024 predictions

Skytrax should be annoucing the airline of the year 2024 rankings in june or july and this is the current top 10 for 2023
1. Singapore Airlines
2. Qatar Airways
3. ANA All Nippon Airways
4. Emirates
5. Japan Airlines
6. Turkish Airlines
7. Air France
8. Cathay Pacific
9. EVA Air
10. Korean Air

And i would like to predict which one of these airlines on the top 10 list will get knocked out and be replaced by Hainan Airlines my predictions is either Air France or Cathay to get knocked out and my predictions if Air France and Cathay both get knocked out then Hainan and Swiss will make the list do you agree with my predictions at all or not and i would also like to rank your predictions with 9 of these airlines in the list and hainan and if you predict two i would like to see your predictions with hainan and the other airline
Honestly Turkish Economy just feels like a fancy version of a 4 star airline (reasoning: seats are bland and look like they belong on Scoot/Jetstar however they do have huge screens for in flight entertainment however the titles are is subpar and food selection is very unique/OK for a 5 star airline however a notch below SQ/perhaps even CX for econ). Surprised it ranks top 10 and ranks just below Emirates and Japan and is higher than even Cathay?? After considering all variables and adjusting for errors I still can't see how that is possible. And 8 and 9. are both underrated and needs some love. Especially 8 and 9 (even taking economy on 9. is a treat let alone business).

For me the list would be Sin>Qatar=?Emirates>JAL=?ANA>Cathay=?Eva>>>Turkish (never taken France/Korea and ANA/Qatar/Emirates but I know what class of service I would be expecting for the latter three airlines).

Skytrax top airline has been shared between exclusively between Qatar, Emirates, Singapore and Cathay since inception, with two exceptions. Asiana in 2010 and……. very surprisingly British Airways in 2006.

Kind of shocked with that one, but in the World Travel Awards Top Airline BA took out the top spot every year bar one from 1994-2007, since then it’s been all ME3/Asian carriers.

I don’t remember BA being exceptional 20 years ago?

Skytrain is a Pay per Comment style, corrupt media outlet. Anyone who trusts their annual lists will be misguided.

I think their star ratings are quite corrupt.

But whenever their annual list comes out of top airlines, there seems to be a remarkable correlation amongst the top 5 or so airlines to the airlines that people chase points to redeem on.

I mean last year’s top 5 were SQ, QR. NH, EK and JL. Variability across cabins, and some opinions are quite negative on some of them, but it’s not as if the carriers aren’t generally held in high regard. Given that top 3 maybe Velocity was doing the bribing 🤣

Not the first , but BA were on early mover with fully flat seats in J. That might have helped.

It’s possible none of the Airlines were willing to pay Skytrax for that year and so in a futile attempt to rebuild their shattered credibility, they’ve gone with a safe bet of well known high performing Airlines. My personal Top five would probably include many of those Airlines too.
