Hi all, I have approx 530 air points to use by 1 June. I live in Perth, and don't fly to NZ anymore.

The points shop only works for NZ residents.

I have tried to book a hire car or hotel on line, but when pushing the book now button, it returns to the original page. Has anyone else had this problem?

Any other suggestions on how I can use the points?

If you really end up not being able to use them, you could try the coupon connection on FT. Someone else may be after some Airpoints?

Have you tried phoning the Contact Centre and seeing what they can organise? I am aware that some redemptions that cannot be arranged on-line can be achieved if you phone the Contact Centre and explain the situation.

Thanks for the responses above. To close this thread out, I ended booking accommodation the UK for early next year. 3 nights in Edinburgh and 1 Liverpool for the three of us. Worked out well, used all my airpoints, may not have been good value compared to some other redemptions, but it is better than losing them for zero value.

Good value as you point out versus the alternatives.
