AirTags Avert Yet Another Potential Baggage Disaster

Qantas might have it. However, when my bag went missing in late February, there was no option I could see to provide the AirTag details. When American lost my bag, there was an option to add bag trackers to the report. For those curious inside the Find My app there is an option to create a shareable link with the item's location. You simply copy that link and paste it into the report and then the baggage team can track your bags as well as you can. Note: the links expire after a week.

There is now. My bag was sent to the wrong airport a few weeks ago and I raised a claim with QF. After that I could upload the AirTag link.

I had a good chat with the guy at SYD, he said the QF and AA systems are completely separate and don’t talk to each other. Same with QF and EK (QF won’t even deal with EK metal at Sydney despite them both using dnata).

I am Samsung so for the Android users out there, just purchased this

with Telstra points (22,700) from Telstra Rewards site - had to use them by end of April
Will be using it later this week for MEL-BNE-VLI.
Thanks for the heads up. I had some Telstra point sitting there and hadn't seen anything worth buying. I've got two tags for MrsK has she has just upgraded her very old Samsung J5 to a Samsung A35 which will support the tracking. I've said she can trial it on me before we go away.

I have a Google Pixel 7A, and I'm looking at getting a couple of Chipolo One Point tags and see how they go.

The One Points will be cheaper now that the Chipolo Pop has launched - it's compatible across Google Find My Device and Apple Find My networks. In fact, they've already been consigned to the Outlet Deals section!
