It looks like I will be in AKL on Monday as I head from MEL to ADL.

My flight to ADL leaves at 1820 so just leaving enough time for AKL check in shenanigans.

Yeah, I did SYD MEL via AKL a decade ago, but ADL is further.

In fact AKL-ADL is 2025 miles. Which is a jolly nice number for BA flyers.

This was on AirNZ back in my *Elite days.

Far out, I'd bracketed a weekend with a tactical MEL-AKL round trip for a good price, but in looking for domestic New Zealand round trip to tack on, prices were through the roof.

It was cheaper to fly AKL to SYD and back than WLG that weekend.

Anyhow, had a good dinner
