sorry - what i meant was, using alaska miles, can you book on CX on immediate release of award seats, or can you only book up to 330 days in advance?

(in a similar vein to AA, who can only access QF awards at 330 days, whereas QF FF'ers can get access immediately)

From memory its 330 days in advance, if you see them online or find them on another carrier should be OK. Ive been lucky a few times to and via HKG and onwards for 2 of us in J, direct from OZ to USA not.
