Approx 1 mile walk from coach drop & some travel reps seem amazed we opt to walk rather than shuttle or taxi. Good walk for getting our bearings & again we arrive to an open apartment that emphasises the lack of Alaskan concern for security (always have a key available after we check in- Haines an exception where they say they do not own a key). As described on net booking, clean, tidy, smallest bed yet encountered (described as queen), free wifi, laundry, continental breakfast. Many signs throughout unit alerting us to rules etc but not too overbearing. Best shower we have encountered, slowest wifi, basket with muffins & fruit for breakfast to complement the cereals & juices. Our host, Debra organised our cruise with a discount and dropped us off at the cruise office. 5-10 minute walk to bus depot on our departure.
