Thank you

Sorry, no it does not provide access to AS lounges. Qantas Club membership only provides access to Qantas, BA and AA lounges when you have a same day departure on those airlines.

It doesnt hurt to ask.I got entrance in Seattle with my QC card-but the mine was the old blue life member card and I think they didnt have a clue what it meant-maybe thought I was CL.
Then again it really wasnt that wonderful.

In Seattle, well it is now. Spanning two stories with great tarmac views, new comfortable furnishings and with free drinks (no vouchers necessary) - it's certainly at the high end of US airline lounges in my opinion. (Priority Pass gets you in. I also checked with my Qantas card, just in case, but it was declined.)

Agree with the above posters - you're fresh out of luck :(.
I would think that the only method of accessing Alaskan Boardrooms in LAX and YVR is if you are:

1. Alaskan MVP Gold (their top tier)
2. Northwest WorldPerks (I think Silver may get you in, Gold definitely), or perhaps
3. Delta high tier - perhaps (now that Delta and Northwest have merged)

or befriend one of the above.

I used to get into them - back when Alaskan was an partner in the QFF program (but they exited some time ago) or I was travelling with my cousin (who is an Alaskan MVP Gold).

Details about the Alaskan Board Rooms are here. You could buy a single use day passes, but I'd think the cost (USD$30) is uneconomical for the service to be obtained.

& 4. Pay for a 1st Class Fare

First Class fares give you all of the premium service and flexibility you expect.

Hi all,

I fly to Canada frequently and I always have to connect in LAX with alaska airlines to get to Vancouver. I have never had a problem using the Board room lounges in LAX or Vancouver, I can even bring a friend in who is not a memeber. I have done this twice and plan to do it again next week. You need to have your boarding pass and QC membership card though, they record your details and you can go on in.

They do not announce flight detilas over the PA so if you plan on sleeping, set your alarm!

So in effect the information above is actually misleading, at least from my experience it is.

Hope this helps

Ex

PS- When I got in I was flying Qantas and was issued alaska as code share, I got frequent flyer points. So if you are not flying with Qantas it may be different, but if you are it should work.

Similar to Expon, I have also gained access using my Qantas Club card @ LAX. Nice view of the tarmac and snacks were much better than the AA Clubs.

Also brought in my wife (non-QC).

Not sure if it makes a difference but I was on an AA flight number operated by AS.

Well, it's nice to be wrong - my information was a couple of years old. They obviously record your details to charge the visit to QF. CarolAB, worth trying at both LAX and YVR, but be careful about being at the Gate on time, as advised by Expon.

Oops, forgot that obvious one

So they don't have the same restrictions as AA when flying First on a domestic flight?

I'll be travelling Alaskan (in First) LAX-SEA-LAX. I'm a WP which I presume won't get me access (as Alaskan aren't OneWorld), but if I understand correctly the First ticket should get me in?

Cheers,
- Febs.

Great news!! Will certainly try in Lax and Vancouver. Thanks everyone. I really does pay to ask questions and on this site there is always an expert answer.

Are you flying on a QF flight number on the AS service?

Actually here's a question...
I'm travelling on an Alaskan flight (in F) with an AA flight number. Please tell me that means I get QF SC's??

Febs, my understanding is yes, it's an AA flight number, so as per the QF T&C's.

What it might mean is that you would get to access the AA Admirals Club rather than AS Board Room.

No A/C in SEA,

A/C in LAX is at T4, AS flies out of T3.

Unless you are flying into LAX on AA into T4, you won't have access to the T4 A/C or F/L. If you are flying into LAX on AA, you may be able to visit the A/C or F/L before heading over to T3.

Sorry but I dont think you will-

I have run into this problem with the QF codeshare on TN.I knew I wouldnt earn EQP but thought I would earn miles as TN is a partner airline of AA.But although on a OW global explorer ticket travelling on a OW partners codeshare you get zip.Being on a global explorer meant you cant use the TN code.

If travelling on an AA flight number, the AA table applies:
