Alaskan Airlines Lounges

Actually here's a question...
I'm travelling on an Alaskan flight (in F) with an AA flight number. Please tell me that means I get QF SC's??

You will. But you check in at the AS desk, and you'll need to submit your AS boarding passes to QANTAS by fax or similar after you return.

Yes...it is a QF flight on alaskan airlines
Then it seems at least at LAX you will be ok based on reports from others. However, I cannot see anything in the Qantas Club lounge access terms and conditions that confirms the access.

That won't be a worry, I usually have to do that for half my AA flights (on AA metal with AA or QF boarding passes) anyway... :). Cheers.

Febs, my understanding is yes, it's an AA flight number, so as per the QF T&C's.

What it might mean is that you would get to access the AA Admirals Club rather than AS Board Room.

If you try to check in for these flights at the AA desk, they just send you over to the AS counters. When you check in at AS there is no mention of the AA flight number. The F BP will let you into the AS Boardroom.

Our flights from Lax to Vancouver have now been changed (not enough time to clear customs etc )so we are now flying with Air Canada instead of Alaskan Airlines. How does this fare with lounge access as we have around 4-5 hours wait in LAX now. I tried looking on the qantas lounge access site but I don't think having only qantas club membership gains entry.

Many thanks

I have gained access to the Alaskan Airlines Lounge using my QF Club card flying on an AA flight.

I would give it a go.

But was it AA metal or codeshare with AS?

My understanding is that they only do this if it is AS metal with a AA flight number

You would not have lounge access at LAX with only Qantas Club membership if your onward flight is with Air Canada.

Yes, yes you do - I did exactly this about two weeks ago:

Make sure your QF number is loaded in to the AA booking (which you can now do online). You'll also see it appear on the AS boarding pass as your MVP number, which was mildly confusing for me - but it all worked out. Took around 3-4 days to post.

Do note that if it is a paid F fare, you are also entitled to use the AS Board Room lounges - which are really very decent as compared to certAAin other lounges. ;)

Ditto to what notzac said, if on an AA flight number you get points and SC's

And the Seattle lounge is quite good as well, not huge, but comfortable and the massive log fire certainly does add some character.

Oh, depending on the time of day, the Board Room serves up a fantastic bowl of hot chili, dont be shy and grab a couple, well worth it.

I was on AS metal with an AA flight number.
